Create journal print layouts
- In the journal book design stage, to achieve sharp images, we recommend in Illustrator to set the Raster Effect to 300 ppi, or if working in Photoshop, set the resolution to 300 pixel/inch.
- Set the color to CMYK (a print color system different from RGB, which is a light value used for display on legends)
- We recommend designing with bleed: create the artwork slightly larger than the actual size by adding about 2 mm on each side.
- Scan or images important that touch the actual trim line, cutting machine and fold lines—check the margins to 1 cm.
