Flyer artwork guidelines

A4 double-sided flyer: keep bleed at least 2 mm from the final trim on each side. Keep important text/images within the safe margin to avoid trimming errors.

Keep the bleed at least 2 mm beyond the final trim on each side.

Do not place any important text or images between the safe margin and the trim line
to prevent errors during trimming.


Flyer Design and Prepress Preparation

  1. During design, for sharp output, set Illustrator Raster Effect to 300 ppi, or in Photoshop set the resolution to 300 pixels/inch.
  2. Set color mode to CMYK (print color mode, different from RGB which is for screens).
  3. Design with bleed allowance: make the artwork at least 2 mm larger on each side than the final size.
  4. Avoid placing important text or images too close to the final edge, trim line, or fold line; keep them about 1 cm inside from the edge.
